Sleep Angel supports families with their sleep difficulties, working with babies & children. Whether you’re having trouble establishing a routine, modifying sleep behaviors or just need a helping hand with sleep, Sleep Angel is here for you.
How we help – Sleep Angel will:
The aim of this program is to get you some well needed rest and to support your child to settle well at bedtime and through the night. Any props that have been used to help your child to sleep will be gently removed (dummy, night feeds, co sleeping etc). Age appropriate behaviour will be encouraged. The techniques, which Sleep Angel uses, are based on our work with hundreds of families as well as current international infant research. Our techniques are gentle and effective and minimise any distress that you or your child may feel. We do not use controlled crying methods. After our visit we will support you to achieve the best possible outcome for you and your family.
This support is to give you some respite, to start to move your child/ren away from behaviors’ that may be inhibiting their ability to sleep well and to offer advice on encouraging healthy sleep behaviour after our visit. We will assist in supporting your little one to start making these changes required for more consolidated sleep.
Home consults provide in home support to assist you with strategies to implement and to help you avoid sleep or behavioural difficulties or discuss any difficulties you may already be having with your little one/s. We will discuss gentle and effective strategies for encouraging the desired outcomes. You might like to book support during the day at nap time, or in the evening at bedtime, or alternatively at a time when your child/ren are being cared for so we can talk things through in detail.
The aim of this support is to observe what your bub is currently doing and to offer some hands on advice to assist in setting bub up for long term healthy sleep habits, as well as answering any questions you may have in relation to feeding (breast or bottle) or normal newborn behaviour. We discuss with you clear guidelines and strategies for you to implement after we have visited.
Telephone support provides a consult for specific advice in any areas that you may need support for your child/ren; difficulties falling asleep or staying asleep, difficulties self settling or resettling, routine advice, breastfeeding/nutrition support, behaviour management (difficult and challenging behaviours, toilet training, etc). We discuss with you clear guidelines and strategies for you to implement to achieve your goals.
Each family situation is unique. We can tailor our support to meet your needs. Contact us to discuss these and other options further.
